Description
Based on the 2021-2030 Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL), Banten Province has a PLTS construction quota of 435 MW until 2030. Basically, the Banten PLTS with a planned capacity of 50 MWp is projected to utilize the PLTS construction quota in Banten Province in 2025 of 100 MW available in the 2021-2030 RUPTL through the Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme. By utilizing the Java-Madura-Bali electricity transmission network, the Banten PLTS will have a reliable electricity supply chain.
The Banten PLTS project is expected to help increase the EBT power mix which is targeted to reach 23 percent by 2025. This project is projected to generate electricity of 78 GWh/year with a target of reducing carbon emissions reaching 46.7 Kilo Tons of CO2/Year.
Based on the assessment criteria applied in the study, the selected location is in Cihara District, Lebak Regency, with a spatial pattern in the Production Forest area, the daily GHI radiation intensity value ranges from 4.76 – 4.89 kWh/m2/day, and the distance to the 150kV electricity infrastructure is around 5 km. On the other hand, this location also has a gentle topography, with a relatively low risk of flooding and landslides.
